We're hiring: Head of Credit

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Head of Credit to join our growing water team. This is an exciting opportunity, offering the chance to take on a strategic role with huge scope for innovation and impact. You will be at the forefront of helping us shape our water business. You will be responsible for Everflow Water’s debt management and prevention strategy, with overall responsibility for the wider credit control team.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is an excellent opportunity to have a huge impact on our business. You will closely with the Board of Directors, Senior Management Team and operational teams and your remit will be to minimise the level of debt reaching credit control, ensuring effective management and mitigation of all arrears.
Responsibilities (not excluded to):
Lead the Credit Control Function within the business
Review, analyse and shape debt paths, identifying where these are working/not working
Implement robust systems, tools and processes to directly impact debt management and prevention
Management of loss forecasting and expected losses
Drive credit policy and collections strategies
Maintain awareness of industry issues and developments and ensure that relevant updates are circulated when appropriate
Ongoing development of policies, procedures and training to improve internal awareness and performance
What we are looking for:
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent
Proven experience within debt management
Background - ideally the utilities sector within debt management/prevention
Expert in Credit Risk Management including portfolio analytics, loss forecasting, collections etc.
First class managerial and communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Proven stakeholder management experience
