water pressure

Why has my water pressure changed?

There could be many causes of no water or low pressure which can range from planned works in the area, a burst water main, a leak, or even an internal plumbing issue.

What should I do if I have no water, or low water pressure?

  1. Check your wholesaler’s website for any planned or unplanned works in your area which may be affecting you.

  2. If there is nothing there to suggest that you may be affected, check your internal and external stop-valves, if it is safe to do so, and ensure that these are fully open.

  3. If you can, check to see if your neighbour’s supply is also affected, as this can indicate a wider issue. If your neighbours are unaffected, it would suggest that the problem may be in your own internal plumbing. A list of approved plumbers can be found on https://www.watersafe.org.uk/

  4. If you are still not sure of the problem, contact your wholesalers’ emergency number to report an issue.
